Reiterer and Vucemillo win the marble quarry run in Lasa

The 71 runners had to complete a 7,5 km long route with a 700 m difference in altitude. Andreas Reiterer was at the top among the men. The 29-year-old from Avelengo, who already won the 2020 edition, prevailed in Laas with a time of 41.24 minutes and was almost six minutes ahead of second-placed Vinschger Christian Tscholl at the finish, who stopped the time measurement in 47.16 minutes. Third place went to local hero Günther Niederfriniger from Lasa in 3 minutes. Four top runners disqualified The reason for Reiterer's huge lead: The quartet Andreas Innerebner, Matthäus Zöggeler, Armin Gögele and Ludwig Andres took a wrong turn at a marshal. The first two reached the finish after just 5,5 km, while Gögele and Andres took a slightly different route, but did not complete the 7,5 km route either. All four were disqualified. The matter was also clear for the women. Emily Vucemillo from Merano won in a good 50.07 minutes. Behind the figurehead from SC Meran, Gerlinde Baldauf (51.44), from Schluderns, who competed for the Rennerclub Vinschgau and last year's winner, took second place.
