Rungger and Perkmann win Leifers-Weißenstein

For the men there was a duel in Sarn for the day's victory. In the end, Hannes Perkmann (athlete team) was ahead, reaching the finish after 53.05 minutes. With a lead of 2.37 minutes, Perkmann relegated Martin Stofner, who was eight years older than him, to second place (Lauffreunde Sarntal), while Perkmann's work colleague at Athlete, Mikhail Mamleev, had to settle for third place. Mamleev's gap to the day's winner was 4.08 minutes. A woman from Sarnen was also successful among the women. The former mountain runner of the Italian national team, Renate Rungger, achieved the best time in 45.33 minutes. Johanna Dellemann (South Tyrolean running club) came second with a time of 49.33 minutes, while Verena Pratzner from the Vinschgau Rennerclub climbed onto the podium in third place (49.55). A total of 28 female and 60 mountain runners reached the finish line.

Rungger and Perkmann win Leifers-Weißenstein

Everything is in Sarn hands during the traditional mountain run from the town of Laives to the well-known pilgrimage site on Regglberg. The 9,3 km race with a 1230 m difference in altitude was held for the 58th time this year
