Students determined the new national champions in Haslach

After the qualification competitions in Bolzano and Merano, the state final took place in Haslach. Some athletes were able to enjoy good results. 100 m hurdler Alessandra Realdon improved her personal best by a strong 30 hundredths and increased it to 14,52 seconds. The 19-year-old Katharina Oberhammer also set a new best time in the 400 meters. Three weeks ago in Trento the woman from Puster achieved 57,90 seconds, yesterday she was even a tenth of a second faster. Alice Vettorato from Carducci High School increased her height by six centimeters to 1,64m in the high jump.

There were also favorite victories for those born in 2000-02 for Katja Pattis over 1000m, Anna Menz (long jump), Sara Buglisi (3km walk) and high jumper Alberto Masera. Unfortunately, the national champions cannot go to the Italian championship this year because it is canceled for cost reasons. Last year, the South Tyrolean athletes won a title at the Stadio dei Marmi in Rome and returned with a total of five medals.

The state championship for high school students took place in Haslach on Tuesday under optimal conditions. Around 400 athletes from all over South Tyrol came together.
