Schwazer achieves Olympic standard with world best time of the year

Alex Schwazer achieved the Olympic standard with flying colors. The 27-year-old from Kalch won the IAAF Walking Grand Prix in Dudince in 3:40:57. For Schwazer it was the fastest 50 km time since his Olympic victory in 2008. He beat the previous annual world best time by more than four minutes.
