Alex Schwazer during his Olympic victory four years ago in Beijing
Schwazer's goal remains the 50 kilometers
Alex Schwazer terrified the competition at the IAAF Walking Grand Prix in Lugano on Sunday. The 27-year-old from Kalch won the 20 km competition in the world's best time of 1:17:30 - just 14 seconds above the world record. Nevertheless, his focus is on the 50-kilometer distance, over which he wants to defend the Olympic victory he won four years ago. Schwazer emphasized this in an interview with the South Tyrolean Athletics Association.
