Seppi and Verginer dominate the all-around championship in Lana

In the women's heptathlon, 19-year-old junior Lisa Seppi won with a new personal record number of points. The Lanan local hero, who competes for SG Eisacktal, showed hardly any weaknesses in all seven disciplines and ultimately managed 4.715 points. If Seppi sticks to this upward trend, even the targeted 5.000 point mark should be within immediate reach. Mariaelena Agostini took second place with 4.642 points, moving ahead of javelin thrower Stefanie Messner. The SSV Brixen athlete scored 4.147 points at the end of the competition. Meanwhile, in the men's decathlon, Alex Verginer secured a home victory for South Tyrol. The 21-year-old from Val Badia was credited with a total of 5.815 points and thus performed 130 points better than second-placed Marco Perbellini from Verona. Third place went to Matteo Miani from Trevisa, who held his own with a narrow lead over Fabian Waldner from Vinschger. However, he still achieved a respectable success with 5.599 points.
