Jumping and throwing meeting a complete success

Competitions in shot put, discus, hammer and javelin throwing as well as high, long and triple jump took place in Haslach. In the women's high jump, Burgstaller Linda Maria Pircher from SV Lana won with 1.65 m, in the long jump the 21-year-old Nora Rinner from LAC Vinschgau won with a new personal best of 5.67 m. Lara Cubich, who competes for SG Eisacktal, took second place in the hammer throw 36.85nd place with 2 m. The Merano discus thrower Marie Gruber achieved 35.45 m in her best discipline. Marina Gazzotti achieved 39.02 m in the javelin throw. The men also knew how to impress in Haslach. Alberto Masera from Bolzano achieved 2.00 m in the high jump, Destiny Nkeonye from Athletic Club 96 Bozen won the long jump with a good 7.16 m. His teammate Tobias Iellici finished second in the triple jump with 13.13 m. Burgstaller David Pircher from SV Lana achieved 12.97 and 35.19 m in the junior competition in the shot put and discus throw. U18 javelin thrower Jakob Menz (SC Meran) won with a clear throw of 44.26 m. South Tyrolean young talents shine in Trentino In Trento, however, the team championships for the U14 and U16 age categories took place. Among the numerous participants, some South Tyrolean athletes also achieved top results. In the U16 category, Sofia Demetz from Val Gardena celebrated day victories in the 1000 and 2000 m. Her teammate at SC Meran, Emma Ghirardello Pichler, won the 1200 obstacle ahead of Eva Hölzl. Hammer thrower Anna Passarella from SAF Bolzano and javelin thrower Eliana Wellenzohn (SC Meran) were also at the top of the podium. Daniele Tomasi won the long jump among the boys, and the athlete from CSS Leonardo da Vinci also took third place in the 3 m. Enrico Flaim also celebrated two daily victories. In the hammer and javelin throw, SAF Bolzano's figurehead was in a class of his own. Pheaphon Merlin, also from the SAF, won the discus throw. Mattia Graiff came second in the triple jump and third in the 80 m hurdles. In the U14 category, Luca De Biasi (ball) won with 40.00 m, ahead of his teammate at SAB, Leonardo Nesler. Manuel Lorenzon came second in the high jump with 2 m. Katja Mitterhofer (SC Meran) also came second in the 1.20 m hurdles.

At the weekend an unusual jumping and throwing meeting took place in Bolzano. Numerous South Tyrolean athletes were able to showcase themselves.
