Stettiner Cup once again attracts visitors with its special flair

Registrations for the big mountain running spectacle in midsummer have been open since Tuesday, May 2nd. Registrations for this will be accepted on the organizer’s website. As in previous years, the OK team from the Moos mountain rescue service in Passeier is responsible for the perfect execution of the event, in which the loyal participants tackle 10 kilometers and 1255 meters in altitude. “It will be the case again this year that the majority of participants have already taken part. We are of course really looking forward to our loyal fans, but also to new faces who want to be enchanted by the Stettiner Cup. Many athletes will already be in training. The Stettiner Cup is not for weak legs, it’s a steep climb – it requires optimal preparation,” say the organizers. The organizers are particularly pleased not only with the influx of participants, but also with the numerous helpers who dedicate themselves to hosting the Stettiner Cup year after year. “Without them, this mountain running spectacle would simply be impossible, and we all deserve our thanks. For the second time we're going up to the new Stettiner Hut, on the way there we need a lot of hands to guarantee safety and care," says the Moos mountain rescue team gratefully. The organizers count on the tried and tested There will be no changes to the route for the 24th edition of the Stettiner Cup on Sunday, August 6th. From the parking lot in Pfelders, you follow the hiking trails to the Lazinser Alm before the hardest part of the South Tyrolean mountain running classic awaits the participants. The steep path below the Eisjöchl takes you in narrow serpentines up to the Stettiner Hut, which has been shining in new splendor for a year since it was destroyed by an avalanche in 2014. The destination is also there, at 2875 meters above sea level. The participants of the Stettiner Cup can not only look forward to a breathtaking panorama, but also, as usual, to a hefty starter package with a wide variety of gifts and local products. “As always, we would like to thank all the sponsors and patrons who help us prepare for the Stettiner Cup every year and some of whom also take part in the mountain run themselves,” concludes the mountain rescue OK team Moss off.
