Beaming winners at the end of the Ladurner Grand Prix

The Grand Prix finale in Bolzano, to which the 22 best athletes per category were admitted, also marked the end of the South Tyrolean track season. There were strong performances among the U16 girls, such as the 10.29 seconds over 80 m from the newly crowned Vahrner U16 Italian champion Marie Burger. Alessia Goffi's 10.25 m in the shot put (new personal best) also made people sit up and take notice. The 14-year-old from Val Gardena also took the overall GP ranking with 635 points ahead of her teammate Jana Tomasini (587) and Marie Burger (585) from SSV Brixen.

Three day wins for Daniele Tomasi For the U16 boys, the title with 630 points went to host Mattia Cruciotti from the South Tyrol Team Club, who was able to hold his own just ahead of Andreas von Payr from Kalter (615) and Mattia Bucciarelli from Bolzano (550). Cruciotti won the high jump with 1.77 m, von Payr won the 80 m sprint and Bucciarelli secured the 600 m competition.

Franziska Baumgartner, however, celebrated two daily victories in the U14 category. The flagship of SG Eisacktal won the 60 m sprint in 8.94 seconds and the high jump with 1.40 m. In the Grand Prix overall standings, Baumgartner clearly won with 630 points ahead of Maria Barazzuol from SAF Bozen and teammate Carmen Bracke.

Daniele Tomasi from CSS Leonardo da Vinci achieved a triple victory in the U14 boys category. The man from Bolzano won the 60 m, 600 m and the shot put. However, it was still not enough to win the overall standings. This went to Christoph Öttl from Passeir with 620 points, ahead of Tomasi (580) and Kevin Lubello (530).

The final event of the “Ladurner Grand Prix 2019” took place in Bolzano on Saturday. The last competition in the U16 and U14 age groups was the final of this popular competition series
