South Tyrol has a new pole vault record

The 18-year-old from SV Lana improved her own record, set three weeks ago in Imola, by one centimeter to 3.86 meters. Kofler narrowly failed at 3.90 meters. The U20 national jumper won the competition ahead of her teammate Nicole Indra (3.40 m) and Lara Dallaporta from Rovereto (3.10)

In the men's category, Masters World Champion Hubert Indra once again showed his class. The 62-year-old (!) jumped 3.70 meters and came ahead of Simon Zandarco and Andrea Chiusole, who both jumped 3.60 meters.

Destiny Nkeonye wins the men's event The men's long jump was won by 18-year-old Destiny Nkeonye from Italian champion Athletic Club Bozen with 7,05 meters, just ahead of Alexander Demetz from Val Gardena, who managed 7.01 meters in the last jump. Third place went to the Bozen Master 3 jumper Pierluigi Putzu with 40 meters.

In the women's category, the U20 athletes Anna Menz and Linda Pircher fought an exciting duel. Menz from Marlingen, who competes for SC Meran, jumped a strong 5.70 meters in her last attempt and came out ahead of the all-rounder Pircher (5.58 m).

Linda Pircher also came second in the javelin throw with 30.07 meters, behind her teammate at SV Lana, Martina Gatscher from Terlan (39.22 m). Regina Waldner won the U18 competition with 27.50 meters.

In the men's race, victory went to the M40 Hubert Göller with 59.46 meters ahead of Bolzano's Massimiliano Di Stasio, who set a new record with 57.25 meters. South Tyrol has a new pole vault record

Despite the scalding heat, the participants in the jumping and throwing summer meeting showed strong performances on Wednesday evening in Lana. Local hero Nathalie Kofler set the highlight in the pole vault.
