South Tyrol is sending 46 athletes to the Arge Alp meeting

9 years ago the South Tyrolean selection was even able to win the Arge Alp meeting, and in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and the previous year they were always on the podium. Last year, the local athletes only had to admit defeat to the athletes from Bavaria and the Swiss from St. Gallen at the meeting in Bregenz. The South Tyroleans managed at least 9 daily victories.

Caren Agreiter is the star of the state selection This year too, South Tyrol will be sailing over the Brenner Pass with an extremely young team. The star of the team is the Bruneck hurdle specialist Caren Agreiter. The 23-year-old from Pusteria took fourth place in the 4 m hurdles at the Italian general class championships in Brixen at the end of July. Agreiter confirmed her participation in the Arge Alp meeting and is one of the favorites in her discipline. Also taking part are sprint ace Petra Nardelli from Eggen, pole vaulter Nathalie Kofler from Lana and animal sergeant Katja Pattis (400m). There are also a few other veterans, such as long-distance specialist Markus Ploner, 3000 m runner Lia Patscheider, pole vault ace Manfred Menz (he recently ended his career) and javelin thrower Hubert Göller. The 3000-member state selection is made up of 46 women and 24 men.

South Tyrol is sending 46 athletes to the Arge Alp meeting

The regional athletics association has announced the names of the athletes who will take part in the traditional Arge Alp meeting with the South Tyrolean selection. The regional meeting will take place on September 14th and 15th in Innsbruck.
