South Tyrolean mountain runners mourn Karl Gruber

Three South Tyrolean ski tourers were surprised by an avalanche in the Martell Valley on Thursday morning. The 49-year-old Karl Gruber from Mölten, one of the most successful mountain runners in our country, did not survive the accident, although his two colleagues, who escaped unharmed, were able to rescue him within a quarter of an hour.
