South Tyroleans win 13 Masters Italian championship titles

Zorzi, who has been competing in the F75 class since this year, showed a great performance in Ancona. The athlete from the Merano sports club won the pentathlon with 3108 points, setting an Italian record. The former volleyball player, who secured the World Cup indoor title four years ago, also set three new records in the 60 m hurdles (15.75) and in the high and long jump (1.13 and 3.06 m). The athletes from the South Tyrol Team Club were once again extremely successful. The Signater F60 athlete Waltraud Mattedi secured the “Tricolore” in the javelin and discus throws, and she was also named vice-Italian champion in the hammer throw and shot put. Her teammate, Rosanna Barbi Lanziner from Truden, won the F65 title over 800 m. F70 ace Rosa Pattis from Siusi, on the other hand, was at the top of the 3000 m run and also won two silver medals over 800 and 1500 m. Indra five-time Italian champion, gold also for Göller Masters superstar Hubert Indra (M65) from Lana was at the top of the podium five times. Indra also set a new Italian record in the pentathlon with 3860 points, and he also secured gold in the high jump and triple jump with 1.47 and 10.49 m respectively. Indra was also in a class of his own in the 60 m hurdles and pole vault. The Passeir M45 javelin thrower Hubert Göller won with a strong 57.99 m, Thomas Oberhofer (M55) came second in the 60 m hurdles. The Italian Indoor Championships in the Masters categories ended on Sunday in Ancona. The stars in the Marche capital were Ingeborg Zorzi and Hubert Indra, who set five new Italian records.
