South Tyrolean running club and Meran Cross regional champion

The South Tyrolean running club sent four athletes into the men's junior race. All four achieved a top 10 finish. Salurn's Raphael Joppi came second with a time of 22.28 minutes, Simon Mair third (22.41). They only had to admit defeat to Giovanni Gatto from Trento, who won the race in 22.21 minutes. Thomas Gasser and Paul Kelderer took 7th and 8th place. In the team ranking, the South Tyrolean running club secured first place with 8 points ahead of Atletica Trento (19) and Valchiese (22).

In the U18 women's category, the team victory went to SC Meran, as in the U14 and U16 age groups. Emma Garber achieved the best result. She came fourth with a time of 15.43 minutes. Sara Frick took 5th place, Vera Chiusole was 10th and Greta Lochmann came 16th. The victory went to Nadia Battocletti. With a time of 14.49 minutes, the woman from Trento came ahead of Hannah Hauser from SG Eisacktal.

At the weekend the “Maso Romani” cross-country race took place in Trento, which was also considered a regional championship. The men's team from the South Tyrolean Running Club won the junior title, while the girls from SC Meran won the U18 age group.
