South Tyroleans win in Cles

Petra Nardelli from Eggen, who only set her new best time of 400 seconds in the 54.39 meters last weekend in Bolzano, once again showed an extremely strong performance despite the bad weather conditions. The 22-year-old reached second place in 54.86 seconds. The sprinter from the South Tyrol Team Club only had to admit defeat to the Finnish Aino Paunonen (54.24 seconds).

The 17-year-old from Bruneck also won silver Ira Harrasser . The 100-meter runner stopped the time measurement at 12.45 seconds, 25 hundredths behind Moillet Kouakou from Vicenza, who was two years older.

Her teammate, however, narrowly missed the podium Katharina Oberhammer , who achieved an ungrateful fourth place in the 800 meter competition. The long jumper also performed well Angelica Favretto (Rank 5) and javelin thrower Marina Gazzotti (Rank 6).

From a South Tyrolean perspective, things went less well for the men, where only Kevin Giacomelli from Athletic Club 96 Bozen was able to climb onto the podium. The 100-year-old took third place in the 19-meter sprint. Two third places came from the signee Sarah Fischller (80 meter sprint) and by the Val Gardena high jumper Chiara Goffi . VSS village run for the first time in Verdings For the first time in the 39-year history of the VSS village run, Verdings was the venue for a Raiffeisen race. A total of 77 runners took part. The race on the 7,95 kilometer route covered 452 meters in altitude.

South Tyroleans win in Cles

This year again the traditional track meeting “Trofeo Melida” took place in Cles, in which many South Tyrolean athletes took part.
