South Tyroleans impress at the Quercia meeting in Rovereto

All-rounder Linda Maria Pircher performed particularly well. The 21-year-old from Burgstal, who is trained in Lana by Gertrud Bacher, won the high jump with 1.70 m and thus increased her record by four centimeters. The South Tyrolean 100m sprinters were also in shape. Ira Harrasser from Bruneck took second place in 12.21 seconds behind Giulia Riccardi (2). Marie Burger from Vahrn (12.13) and Roberta Giovanelli (12.25) from Athletic Club 12.30 Bozen took third and fourth place. Vanessa Russo from Meran took silver in the 96 m in 3 seconds, Elina Neunhäuserer from SSV Bruneck completed the podium in 4:400 minutes. Mariia Yelanska from SC Meran came second in the triple jump with 59.44 m. The men were also able to present themselves in Rovereto. Ebrima Bojang and Mirko Tomasi, both from Athletic Club 96 Bozen, won bronze in the 100 and 400 m respectively. The 4x100 m relay team from Bolzano with Marco Ruggera, Herrmann Ludescher, Christian Valt and Gabriel Emanuel Filip came second in 45.14 seconds. David Pircher, however, missed the podium: The Burgstaller took fourth place in the long jump with 4 m. Two third places went to the U4.24 athletes Maximilian Springeth (wide) and Leo Masi (ball). The first highlight of the spring season is the regional club championship in Bolzano on May 13th and 14th. The regional club titles are awarded on a single weekend. The athletes in the general class are slowly but surely back in permanent action. On Monday, the local talents once again showed top performances at the “Quercia d'Oro” meeting in Rovereto.
