Terlan – Mölten: Niederegger and Rungger at the top for the third time

For the third time in a row, the winners of the mountain run from Terlan to Mölten on Sunday were Thomas Niederegger and Renate Rungger. The 29-year-old from Vinschger completed the 9,2 km long run (1050 meters altitude) in 49.04 minutes, half a minute slower than last year. Niedegger crossed the finish line 3,12 minutes ahead of Mikhail Mamleev from the sports team. Third place went to Niederegger's club colleague Güntr Angerer.

Among the women, top favorite Renate Rungger was once again the measure of all things. The 33-year-old from Sarnen ran the route in 57.16 minutes and finished the race with the ninth best time of the day overall. Her lead over second-placed Edeltraud Thaler from Lanan was just under four minutes, third Johanna Dellemann was even over seven minutes behind.

Start of the youth cross series

In addition to the anniversary edition of the mountain run, the starting signal for this year's youth cross-country running series was also given in Mölten last weekend. Terlan – Mölten: Niederegger and Rungger at the top for the third time
