Top7 running series 2019 is ready to start

The New Year's Eve run in Bolzano is the only event in the top-class Top7 running series that will be held in the old calendar year; the remaining six events will take place in 2019.

Not only are they geographically perfectly distributed throughout South Tyrol, but the competitions in the Top7 series are also perfectly spread out in terms of the individual dates. The renowned series of events traditionally begins with the BOclassic South Tyrol (December 31.12st), where you can end the year in a very sporty way and toast to a good 2019 as a successful finisher. Just in time for the South Tyrolean spring awakening, two real classics take place: the Under Armor Kalterer See Half Marathon (31.3.) and the Half Marathon Meran – Algund (5.5.), in which athletes really get off to a competitive start. There are two big bangs in midsummer with the Reschenseelauf (July 13.7th) and the Raiffeisen ¾ half marathon Bruneck – Sand in Taufers (August 24.8th). In addition to the many South Tyrolean participants, these two events always appeal to many guests who spend their summer vacation in the surrounding area - or who travel specifically for the event.

The atmosphere is more autumnal at the Soltn Mountain Half Marathon (September 22.9nd) and the Age Factor Run (October 19.10th), with which the Top7 running series slowly comes to an end. “You can confidently say that there is something for every taste. We run around lakes, through meadows and fields, but also in town centers. What certainly sets us apart is the family atmosphere. “This is very well received by all participants,” explain the seven organizers.

This is new for the Top7 running series 2019 Like every year, the Top7 series has come up with some new things this year. The points for the individual runners will be awarded differently this year than before. The winner still receives 400 points, just as the runner-up gets 360 points. However, there are essentially more points for the placings behind than before and from 401st place onwards every runner can look forward to five points.

One innovation concerns the Reschensee run. For the 20th edition, the 15,3 km long run around the large reservoir will be held as a night run with a start time of 21.30:7 p.m. In the Agefactor Run, the net time is taken into account in the top XNUMX ranking, and not, as before, that which corresponds to the age factor. Great non-cash prizes for the winners – but not only that As every year, the organizers have put a lot of effort into the 14th edition of the Top7 running series to get great prizes for the winners. The winners will receive the starting number for the 2020 London Marathon, the runners-up will receive training packages with lactate performance diagnostics and a training plan for four months, and the third place will receive a pair of running shoes from New Balance.

But it's not just the fastest athletes who can look forward to the nice prizes - the most hard-working participants will also be rewarded. Anyone who completes all 7 runs receives a loyalty prize and takes part in the raffle for seven wellness weekends in South Tyrol (two overnight stays for two people each). Incidentally, all athletes who take part in the panorama run at the Kalterer See half marathon, the Merano fitness run and/or SoltnRUN 10 KM at the Soltn mountain half marathon are also included in the ranking. Those who start at least 5 events will take part in the draw for non-cash prizes, including a starting number for the 2020 London Marathon or training plans with a lactate performance diagnostic test.
