Trophy of the Region Masters: South Tyrol women 5th in Misano Adriatico

In the national selection, Waltraud Mattedi and Hubert Indra from the South Tyrol Team Club as well as Ingeborg Zorzi and Rudolf Frei from the Meran Sports Club were particularly able to stand out. The final ranking of each individual competition was created based on the Masters tables. The SF 55 Waltraud Mattedi won the javelin throw with 30.78 m, while Hubert Indra (SM 60) only had to admit defeat in the high jump to the former Fiorentina goalkeeper Lamberto Boranga. The two Merano Over 70 Ingeborg Zorzi (3.19m in the long jump) and Rudolf Frei ( 1:05.68 minutes over 400 m), however, finished their race in 3rd place. Just missing the podium were Elisabeth Moser (5:22.94 minutes over 1500m), Silvano Giavara (1.25m in the high jump) and again Hubert Indra (11.17 m in the triple jump), who all came fourth.

The Masters now have the World Championships in Malaga, Spain from September 4th to 15th and the final of the Italian Team Championships on September 29th and 30th in Modena on the program.

Trophy of the Region Masters: South Tyrol women 5th in Misano Adriatico

The 3rd edition of the Regions Trophy for athletes over 35 years old was held on Saturday in Misano Adriatico in the province of Rimini. Among the 15 participating regions, the South Tyrol selection was also in action, which took an excellent 5th place among the women and 9th among the men.
