U16 track and field athletes impress in Kaltern

The U16 athletes particularly shone in Altenburg. Marie Burger from Vahrn, who competes for SSV Brixen, ran the 80m hurdles in 12.23 seconds and thus set her personal best time. Greta Chizzali from SG Eisacktal won the 2000 m run in a strong 6:44.11 minutes. She improved her previous record, set this year in Trento, by nine seconds. This means that Chizzali also moves up to 9th place in the Italian U16 annual best. Alessia Goffi from Val Gardena also increased her long jump record to 5.08 m. Euan De Nigro particularly caught the attention of the boys of the same age. The 15-year-old from SG Eisacktal ran the 2000 m in a good 5:58.17 minutes.

In the U14 age group, Christoph Öttl from ASC Passeier set two new records: The 13-year-old held his own in the high jump with 1.55 m and in the ball throw with 50.78 m. In the girls' category, Hanna Egger from Eisacktal shone over 60 m in 8.89 seconds.
