Überetsch pair skating marks the end of the running season

Gianmarco Bazzoni achieved the best time on the 7 km long course between Kaltern and Eppan. The 29-year-old from Bolzano won in 21.44 minutes, 17 seconds ahead of former professional triathlete Daniel Hofer from ASV Vipiteno. Third place went to Kardauner David Andersag in 22.22 minutes.

Kathrin Hanspeter lived up to her role as favorite among the women. The runner from Sarntal won with a top time of 24.02 minutes and was already 1.23 minutes ahead of Petra Pircher from Laas at the finish. Cardauner Natalie Andersag from ASC Berg completed the podium in 25.51 minutes.

In pair skating, however, it is not the individual ranking that counts, but rather the total time of the two participants from each team. Here, Men Bazzoni and Alex Holtz from Meran ran the best time in 44.45 minutes. In the women's category, Petra Pircher and Mirka Lorenzani (53.58) were the fastest, in the mixed doubles the Kardauner Andersag duo Natalie and David were the fastest in 48.14 minutes.

As in the previous year, the family ranking went to Manfred Kritzinger and his son Julian and Waltraud Wieser and her son Alex Wieser.

Almost 31 runners took part in the Überetscher pair race - this popular race was held for the 150st time - on Sunday in Kaltern.
