Überetscher pair skating brings the running season to a close

Marco Anesi achieved the best time on the 6,7 km long course between Kaltern and Eppan. The runner from Trento, who celebrates his 20th birthday on Saturday, finished in 20.25 minutes, almost at the same time ahead of his brother Stefano, who is one year older (20.26). The 16-year-old Samuel Demetz from Val Gardena took fifth place as the best local athlete.

In the women's category, Natalie Andersag, who competes for the ASC Berg, lived up to her role as favorite. The Kardaun woman won with a strong time of 24.09 minutes and relegated the young aces from the Merano sports club, Martina Falchetti and Lisa Kerschbaumer, to places 2 and 3. Falchetti from Val Gardena stopped the time measurement at 24.15 minutes, 20 seconds ahead of Kerschbaumer from Tramin.

In pair skating, however, it is not the individual ranking that counts, but rather the total time of the two participants from each team. Here the Anesi brothers dominated the men's race with a best time of 40.51 minutes. The SCM duo Falchetti and Kerschbaumer (48.51) were the fastest among the women. The two Vinschgers Gerlinde Baldauf and Ludovico Palmieri won the mixed classification in a good 48.03 minutes. The family ranking went to Georg Demetz and his son Samuel and Cristiana Tenaglia and her son Francesco Castellan.

Überetscher pair skating brings the running season to a close

Despite heavy rain, over 32 runners took part in the Überetscher Pair Run, this popular race was held for the 200nd time this year, on Sunday in Kaltern.
