Ultner Höfelauf: 4th win in a row for Gianmarco Bazzoni

The focus was of course on the supreme discipline over 14,8 kilometers, in which a total of 171 runners took part. As in 2016, 2017 and the previous year, Gianmarco Bazzoni from Bolzano from Athletic Club 96 clearly set the tone. With a time of 51.47 minutes, he was almost half a minute faster than Michael Hofer (52.16 minutes) from ASV Deutschnofen. Third place went to Kardaumer David Andersag from ASC Berg, who stopped the time measurement in 3 minutes.

In the women's category, Andrea Schweigkofler from the Meran Sports Club won in 1:04.06 hours. Edeltraud Thaler from Lanan took second place in 2:1 hours. Doris Weissteiner from SG Eisacktal completed the podium in 04.27:1 hours. She came third at the VSS city run in Vipiteno on Saturday. The Merano ultra-marathon runner and last year's winner Irene Senfter, however, had to settle for fifth place.

As in the previous year, Natalie Andersag from Kardaun won the short distance over 8 kilometers for the women in 31.08 minutes. In the women's race, Veith Berger, who came second last year, won the day in 27.10 minutes.
