Ultramarathon 6 hours South Tyrol on September 9th

On September 9th at 10.15:XNUMX a.m. the starting signal for the second edition of the only ultramarathon on asphalt in the Trentino-South Tyrol region will be given in the Safety Park in Pfatten.

When presenting the “6 Hours of South Tyrol”, the organizers of ASD Dribbling emphasized that such competitions are already a tradition in Italy and abroad. In this sense, the 29 ultramarathon runners and the 14 teams that took part in the first “6 Hours of South Tyrol” last year are a success. Among the 2017 participants was the guest of honor at the performance, Hermann Achmüller. The man from Bruneck is a member of the 100 km national team. This year the 47-year-old cannot start in Pfatten as he is taking part in the 100 km World Championship in Sveti Martin (Croatia). Last year's winners Marco Ferrari (85,650 km) and Francesca Innocenti (67,639 km) are already registered in Pfatten.

In the Safety Park on September 9th, the individual races will again be flanked by the relay. The 6x1 hour race is reserved for teams of 6 and is aimed specifically at those who are not ultramarathon runners but would still like to run. Last year, the team “South Tyrolean Running Club” around Alexander Höller dominated the relay.

The race on the exactly 1.082 meter long racetrack in Pfatten was included in the 2018 IUTA Grand Prix calendar. Cash prizes worth 500 euros, 250 euros or 120 euros are available for the top three finishers.
