European pole vault champion Armand Duplantis has improved his world record, which was just a week old. The 20-year-old Swede jumped over 6,18 m in his first attempt at the World Indoor Meeting in Glasgow, Scotland, increasing the old record he set in Torun, Poland, by one centimeter.
