Lots of new things in the Top7 series

For amateur runners, the Top7 running series is a guarantee that you can count on: the organizers of the various stages will also offer the opportunity to take part in runs in all four seasons and in various parts of South Tyrol next year. For its 17th edition, the renowned running series has big news to offer. The Top7 is getting bigger and for the first time extends beyond provincial borders. No fewer than nine runs are on the program next year: The Seiser Alm Half Marathon, the Teroldego Event and the Cortina Toblach Run join the “classics” BOclassic Ladurner Volkslauf, Kaltererseelauf, Reschenseelauf, South Tyrolean Erdäpfllauf, Soltn Mountain Half Marathon and AgeFactor Run . It starts - as is now tradition - in the calendar year 2022. The first race of the series will take place in Bolzano on December 31st: the BOclassic Ladurner Volkslauf, which will take place from 14 p.m. in the run-up to the elite races. Before that, the Just For Fun (13 p.m.) will take place, in which Giacomo Leone, the winner of the 1996 New York Marathon, will also take part. This time, however, Silvia Weissteiner, bronze medalist over 3000 meters at the 2007 European Indoor Championships in Birmingham and two-time third place (2006 and 2011) in the elite race of the Bolzano New Year's Eve Run, will take part in the BOclassic Ladurner Volkslauf. Many new in spring and summer On March 26th, the athletes will continue with the Kaltererseelauf at the warmest swimming lake in the Alps. This replaces the Under Armor Kalterer See Half Marathon. This year the start and finish of the 15 km long route are in Tramin. But that's not the only new thing to mention in this eventful spring. On Saturday, May 13th, the Top7 running series will move to Trentino for the very first time. There the participants will take part in the Teroldego event, which leads through the vineyards near Roverè della Luna. On Sunday, June 4th, a great running classic will take place between Ampezzo and the Pustertal, the popular Cortina Toblach Run (30 km), which was integrated into the series this year. Almost a month later, on Sunday, July 2nd, the Seiser Alm Half Marathon continues, which will take place on the largest plateau in Europe. Just two weeks later, the series reaches Vinschgau: on Saturday, July 15th, the Reschenseelauf takes place, one of the largest running events in the entire Alpine region. For the seventh stage on August 26th, the Top7 series moves to the other side of South Tyrol. On the 17 kilometers of the South Tyrolean Erdäpfllauf the participants will run from Bruneck to Sand in Taufers in the Ahrntal. The series will finally end in autumn with the Soltn mountain half marathon in Jenesien (September 24th) and the AgeFactor Run in Branzoll (October 21st).
