Vorhauser and Hofer win the race in Sarnthein

Lara Vorhauser and Michael Hofer were the big winners at the race in Sarnthein. The focus, especially in the children's and youth categories, was once again on fun and the joy of movement. The traditional run par excellence of the VSS/Raiffeisen city and village run series is in the main town of the Sarntal. The third race of the series took place in Sarnthein on July 24th. The youngest children in particular were enthusiastic with their unbridled ambition and even greater joy in movement. “We are particularly pleased that we were able to hold a run in Sarnthein again this year. Since the founding of the VSS/Raiffeisen city and village running series, the people of Sarn have almost always taken part and thus show their great passion for running,” says VSS board member Josef Platter. The races in the adult categories were awaited with great excitement. The women ran two large laps through Sarnthein, covering a 2.900 meter long route. Lara Vorhauser from ASV Sterzing was the first to make it through the finish line after just 10:04 minutes. Giulia Franchi from Trento took second place on the podium (10:35 minutes). Sandra Sparer from LF Sarntal was able to secure third place with 10:42. SF Sarntal has the fastest squad In just 18:04 minutes, Michael Hofer from ASV Deutschnofen completed four large laps across Sarnthein, covering a distance of 5.800 meters. Just seven seconds later, Bazzoni Gianmarco from Athletic Club 96 Alperia crossed the finish line in 18:11 minutes. Andreas Innerebner from Sarner took third place with 18:48 minutes. The strongest club was the Lauffreunde Sarntal. With this victory, SF Sarntal was able to secure its current first place in the overall club rankings. The next race in the VSS/Raiffeisen city and village running series will take place on August 22nd in Sarnonico.

For the 37th time, the people of Sarner invited people to a village run as part of the popular VSS/Raiffeisen city and village run series. More than 350 runners took part and ensured exciting races.
