Weissteiner gets his Olympic ticket at the Golden Gala in Rome

Alex Schwazer will not be the only South Tyrolean athlete at the Olympic Games in London. At the top-class Golden Gala in Rome, Silvia Weissteiner beat the required standard of 5000:15 over 20.00 m. In 15:18.04, the 32-year-old from Gasteig took 12th place. Hannes Kirchler, on the other hand, had to be content with 57,74 m (8th) in the discus throw.
