Weissteiner and Kerschbaumer win the Nikolaus Cross run

The girls' U16 and U18 races were particularly strong. In the U18 age group, mountain running specialist Lisa Kerschbaumer from Tramin clearly won ahead of her teammate at the Merano sports club, Veronika Hölzl. Maddalena Melle from SV Lana came third. In the U16 category, Greta Chizzali from SG Eisacktal won ahead of the two Merano women Nike Frick and Emily Vucemillo.

For the boys, the victories in the U16 and U18 categories also went to two athletes from SG Eisacktal. Sebastian Weissteiner from Brixen won the U18 category over 3.200 m, while Sesto triathlete Lukas Lanzinger was at the top of the U16 category. There were victories in Bolzano for the U14 with Daniele Tomasi (CSS Leonardo da Vinci) and the U12 with Lea Sophie Egger from the Bozen Running Club. Peter Thaler from ASV Deutschnofen won the U12 boys competition, while Marion Oberhofer from SG Eisacktal was able to assert herself in the U14 girls competition.

The cross country championship titles were also awarded in Bolzano. Only those athletes who took part in the first run in Oberplanitzing and in the state capital at the beginning of March were included in the ranking. In the U1 category, the title went to Veronika Hölzl from Merano and David Hofer from Deutschnofen. Greta Chizzali from Laion dominated the U18 competition, while Valentino Melle from SV Lana won the boys' competition.
