Mohamed Farah loses the sprint duel against Imane Merga (Photo Mosna/BoClassic) Gedo Sule Utura and Vivian Cheruiyot
Centimeter decision at the Bolzano New Year's Eve run
The 36th edition of the BOclassic, the international Bolzano New Year's Eve run, was firmly in African hands. In two super exciting races, the decision was made in the final sprint. This has never happened before in 35 years. With world champion Vivian Cheruiyot (from Kenya) and Imane Merga (Ethiopia), the world's two best 5000 m runners won in 2010. Silvia Weissteiner celebrated a successful comeback in eighth place.
