... the course of the Erzbergrodeo: “The prologues are on the program on Friday and Saturday. A total of 2500 drivers will be at the start, with the best 500 qualifying for the actual race on Sunday, the 'Red Bull Hare Scramble'.”

… the route in Eisenerz: “In the prologue there are 15 kilometers to complete, so the focus is on speed, that suits me. On Sunday we get down to business: In the 'Red Bull Hare Scramble' you have to reach 25 checkpoints and you have four hours to do it. The physical limits are pushed to the utmost (see video below, editor’s note).”

… his big goal at the Erzbergrodeo: “It’s clear: the goal is the goal. That alone will be a very difficult undertaking (last year only nine pilots crossed the finish line, editor's note). The prologue will be important: If I get into the top 50, I can start in the front row on Sunday – that would of course be a big advantage and would increase the chances of achieving my goal.”

... his first and so far last appearance in Eisenerz: “That was in 2013 and it didn’t go as planned. I finished the prologue in 54th place and started the actual race in the second row. But shortly after the start I drove into a puddle and the bike was so badly damaged that I could no longer continue and had to give up. This year I want to do better.”
