Renault taunts Vettel

In 2018 he resigned as a McLaren driver; in his last phase with the then weak traditional racing team he appeared demotivated and negative. “I discussed this topic with him,” said Prost: “Honestly, it’s a risk, but he talks about it openly. He says that he has changed and that the years outside Formula 1 have made him mature. He knows he doesn’t have the right to disappoint at this level.” Renault has been represented in the premier class again as a works team since 2016, but was unable to catch up with the top teams Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari as hoped.
