In the past, the Dutchman would probably have freaked out after Vettel's ram, but this time the Dutchman took an almost conciliatory tone, stayed cool and forbade a verbal counterattack. The 21-year-old also showed class on the track, having tough wheel-to-wheel duels with Charles Leclerc in the second Ferrari. No question, Verstappen is now becoming the number one contender for the place behind Hamilton.

VALTTERI BOTTAS: In the end you almost felt a little sorry for the Finn, he sat like a heap of misery at the press conference after his second place. After Bottas snatched pole position from his teammate, he sniffed victory. But Hamilton had the better answers and also the necessary luck in the race with the safety car. In any case, the momentum doesn't belong to Bottas - even though he tries everything.
