“Just fake”: Kimi Raikkönen dishes out

Raikkonen was, of course, not a man of many words throughout his career. The Iceman was always extremely economical with his statements and emotions. But if the Finn spoke up anyway, one could assume that he was speaking the truth. After ending his career after 350 Grand Prix, the 42-year-old broke his silence and took a hard line against his former center of life.

“A lot of things in here are just fake. It's good to be out of there," he explained in an interview with the magazine Motorsport . The real essence of Formula 1 – the events on the track – have now given way to other things. “There's so much more bullshit than people on the outside see. All kinds of bullshit. We know it, but nobody says it,” he continued his tirade. In addition, there would be certain procedures that he believes should not exist. Raikkonen doesn't mince his words One of the biggest problems is money and the power games that come with it. “Certainly money has changed things, like in any other sport. The more money you put into it, the more political it becomes,” explained the Finn. The former world champion is critical of the fact that the drivers also want to grab a large part of the cake.
