Ferrari disaster in Brazil: collision and a lot of trouble

In the crazy chaos in Brazil, the dispute between Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc has finally escalated. Five laps before the end of the penultimate race of the season, the two Ferrari stable rivals crashed into each other and both were eliminated. Vettel raged after his debacle in the 100th Grand Prix for the Scuderia.

In a crazy final phase, Max Verstappen secured victory in the Red Bull. Lewis Hamilton had to settle for third place behind Toro Rosso man Pierre Gasly at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace on Sunday. At least that's what he thought until the press conference. Then it was announced that the Briton had been given a five-second penalty. Carlos Sainz moved up to third place.

“The start is incredibly important, but there are still 71 laps after that,” said Vettel’s team boss Mattia Binotto before the red lights went out. The first row of the grid was quite explosive: Verstappen vs. Vettel. For Verstappen everything initially went according to plan. The Red Bull man led the field into the opening laps after his second career pole, Vettel was overtaken by Hamilton. Charles Leclerc provided a catch-up show. The front right wheel of the Monegasque tore off and the German slashed the rear tire on the right side. “What the hell is he doing?!” Vettel complained. Leclerc raged.
