Ferrari and Red Bull fail: No new tires in Formula 1

Now Red Bull, Toro Rosso, Ferrari and Ferrari customers Alfa Romeo and Haas apparently voted for a change. Mercedes and its customers Racing Point and Williams as well as Renault and McLaren prevented this with their votes.

“Nine out of ten teams cannot cope with this low rubber surface,” said Red Bull’s motorsport consultant Helmut Marko recently at Motorsport-Magazin.com: “Mercedes can do it under all conditions - no matter what the temperatures are, no matter what route, no matter what surface, no matter which rubber compound - to get the optimum."
