Three more races canceled

On Friday, the organizers announced the end of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the Singapore Grand Prix and the traditional Japanese Grand Prix. Due to the current uncertainty regarding the corona crisis, the necessary lead time to set up the routes is missing on the city circuits in Baku and Singapore. The cancellation of the race in Suzuka was justified by ongoing travel restrictions in Japan. Despite the cancellations, Formula 1 is “convinced” that it will finish the season with 15 to 18 races by mid-December. The final is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi. The final calendar is due to be published before the delayed start of the season in Austria on July 5th. In the Alpine republic, world champion Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari star Sebastian Vettel and Co. will be hunting for points for the first time this season. A second race is planned in Austria on July 12th. This is immediately followed by the Hungarian Grand Prix (July 19th). There are also two races on the program in Silverstone (August 2nd/9th), followed by Formula 1 in Barcelona (August 15th), Spa (August 30th) and Monza (September 6th). The races take place without fans on the tracks - and with reservations in Corona times.
