Hamilton wins last race before summer break

The 33-year-old Brit celebrated his fifth win of the season in a Mercedes on Sunday at the Hungaroring near Budapest. The four-time world champion from Great Britain, who started from pole, relegated the four-time champion Vettel in the Ferrari to second place. The German moved into second place with five laps to go, but touched Hamilton's teammate Valtteri Bottas in the process. Vettel's stable rival Kimi Räikkönen came third. Max Verstappen (Netherlands/Red Bull) retired in the early stages with technical problems.

For Hamilton it was the 67th victory of his Formula 1 career, the fifth of the current season and the sixth in Budapest. This makes Hamilton the record winner in Hungary. In the World Cup ranking, the Mercedes driver is now 24 points ahead of second-placed Vettel. Formula 1 continues after the summer break on August 26th with the Belgian GP.
