Sainz on pole in the shadow of Mateschitz's death in Austin

Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz took pole position at the Formula 1 US Grand Prix on Saturday (local time in Austin). Next to him on the front row of the grid on Sunday (21 p.m. CEST) will be Max Verstappen in his Red Bull. The race and the weekend are heavily influenced by the death of Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz on Saturday.
