Schumacher's daughter congratulates with a special post

Schumacher's family had already met on Wednesday an official statement turned to the public, now Schumi's 21-year-old daughter posted a very personal birthday greeting on Instagram - including a photo that shows her father during his first Formula 1 race in Spa in 1991. She wrote: “Congratulations for the best father.”

Not only his family, but also former teammates congratulated Schumacher on his 50th birthday ( SportNews berichtete ). The Ferrari racing team, for which the exceptional German driver won five world championship titles, sent its congratulations via Twitter and included the hashtag #KeepFighting.

Schumacher has not appeared in public since his serious skiing accident on December 29, 2013 in Meribel. He suffered a severe traumatic brain injury in the fall.
