“Vettel drives like Schumi – at the end of his career”

Vettel “is at a crossroads in his career,” wrote the Swiss tabloid Blick on Monday: “Resignation rumors at the end of the season are not going away. The endless discussion continues. Is Vettel actually quitting?” The frustrated racing driver doesn’t want to know anything about it and wants to fulfill his contract by the end of 2020. However, he will now be confronted with questions on this topic more often.

“Difficult,” Vettel replied when asked how he would sum up his season so far in one word. But that is quite an understatement. His own mistakes under high pressure, a lack of performance in his car or mistakes by the team – far too many things went wrong in the first ten of 21 races. The four-time world champion has been waiting for a Grand Prix victory for almost eleven months. There doesn't seem to be a quick improvement in sight, even though he still says: "I'm not worried, but I would also like better results."
