Vettel snatches home victory from Hamilton

In the tenth of 21 races of the season in Formula 1, the Ferrari star prevailed on Sunday at Silverstone ahead of Mercedes driver and local hero Lewis Hamilton from Great Britain and his teammate Kimi Räikkönen from Finland. Valtteri Bottas from Finland in the second Mercedes came fourth. After his 51st career victory, Vettel is eight points ahead of Hamilton in the world championship standings before the last eleven races of the season.

Spielberg winner Max Verstappen in the Red Bull did not finish. The next race is Vettel's home Grand Prix in two weeks at Hockenheim (Germany).
