Formula 2: Schumacher causes the race to be interrupted with a collision

Monte Carlo (SID) Mick Schumacher (20) caused a race interruption in Formula 2 during the main race of the fourth weekend of the season in Monaco. The son of Formula 1 record world champion Michael Schumacher, who was in tenth position after his pit stop, collided with Tatiana Calderon (Venezuela), who was driving in front of him, on the 20th lap. The race management gave Schumacher a drive-through penalty for causing the collision and a five-second time penalty because he left the track in another situation and thereby gained an advantage. The rookie from the Prema team, 3 Formula 2018 European champion, wanted to push past the Arden driver in the tight Rascasse double right-hand bend. Schumacher first spun Calderon's car, then came into contact with the nose of his Prema. As a result, the route was no longer passable at this point and the race management interrupted the race for half an hour. Schumacher was able to restart the race from tenth position when he restarted from the pit lane, but he was penalized by race management soon afterwards. Schumacher qualified fourth for the race in the Principality on Thursday.
