Dominator Marquez also wins MotoGP final

The 26-year-old Marquez, who was crowned world champion in the premier class for the sixth time this year, won the final in Valencia and celebrated his twelfth win of the season in the 19th race. He also came second six times, and Marquez was only eliminated once.

Behind Marquez, Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) came home second for the fifth time this year. The Australian Jack Miller (Ducati) completed the podium. Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati) finished the season in fourth place, old champion Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) finished eighth.

Three-time MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo (Spain), who announced his retirement at the end of the season on Thursday, finished 13th in his last race. His successor as the second driver in the Honda factory team will most likely be the Spaniard Alex Marquez. The Moto2 world champion would then ride alongside his brother Marc next year.

Dominator Marquez also wins MotoGP final

Spanish MotoGP dominator Marc Marquez ended his impressive season with a home win. Vice world champion Andrea Dovizioso was the best Italian in fourth place, while Valentino Rossi ended a difficult season in eighth place.
