A Catalonia GP with a strange ending

The Portuguese Oliveira won on Sunday in front of 19.300 spectators in Barcelona ahead of the Frenchman Johann Zarco. For Oliveira it was the third victory in the premier class of motorcycle racing. World Championship leader Fabio Quartararo from France received a time penalty for a rule violation and was dropped to fourth place behind Australian Jack Miller. Valentino Rossi crashed as did Marc Marquez. Curious: Due to a material defect, Quartararo had to remove the chest protector at full speed shortly before the end. As a result, the Frenchman drove the final laps with his racing suit open; his bare chest can be seen on TV images. Despite fourth place, Quartararo remains the leader in the World Championship standings: he is in first place with 118 points, followed by Johann Zarco (1) and Jack Miller (101).
