The final point of the motocross regional championship

The South Tyrolean young talents had a very strong season. In the 65 Debuttanti class, Jakob Gampenrieder from the Meran Motoclub secured the title. Martin Domanegg from the Branzoll club Ferlu Racing came third, his teammate Matteo Benamati fourth. In the 65 Cadetti (born 2011-2013), Gabriel Hueber (MC Meran) came in second place, fourth place went to Liam Pichler (Ferlu Racing). Maximilian Rabensteiner (TT South Tyrol) dominated the 4-junior category, Lukas Messner from Brixen took third place. Michael Rabensteiner, on the other hand, was crowned champion in the 85 junior class. Matteo Brusinelli, who competes for the Motoclub Motor's Sporting Laives, became runner-up in the 125 senior class. Matteo is the son of the former exceptional pilot Stefano Brusinelli. Fabian Succi from MAC Brixen won the MX125 Challenge title, ahead of his teammates Christian Niederstätter, Klaus Oberegger and Daniel Kusstatscher.

In the highly competitive MX2 Challenge class, Manuel Santi from TT Südtirol took third place, closely followed by his teammate Peter Santi. Claudia Schwarz also had a very strong season, winning all races in the Girls category. Sandra Herbst from TT Südtirol came second.

Maximilian Pichler (MC Meran) didn't take the overall victory in the MX1 Expert, but he still came a good second, ahead of Gerhard Mur (TT Südtirol) and Matteo Rossi (Ferlu Racing). Norbert Lantschner from MC Evergreen won the master regional championship title again, Robert Perkmann also made it onto the podium in third place. Maurizio Lubian and the two Merano residents Klaus Schwars and Hubert Falser followed right behind. In the super veteran category, the experienced pilot from MC Neumarkt, Martin Niedermair, took third place. Club colleague Armin Dalvai (veteran) also came third.

Our local athletes also won the technically most difficult categories. Maximilian Wohlfarter prevailed in the MX2 Elite Fast class, Georg Falser and Massimiliano Rizzardi (both from MC Meran) came third and fourth. In the MX3 Expert, Moritz Flarer was at the top, Matias Pfattner came second.

Other South Tyrolean motocrossers also had a great season, such as Patrick Gramm, who came fourth in the MX2 Rider class. Alfons Mischi, Tobias Zelger, Justus Profanter, Mathias Rabensteiner and Andrea Mischi lined up right behind them.

The next major event for the local pilots is already just around the corner. The traditional regional trophy (motocross and junior cross) will take place in mid-October, where three national selection teams will also be competing.

The final point of the motocross regional championship

The 2022 motocross season officially ended at the weekend with the fourth round of the regional championship in Tenno. Numerous pilots from South Tyrol, Trentino and the rest of Italy fought exciting head-to-head duels throughout the entire season.
