Mototurismo Regional Trophy: A special way to get to know new places

The event, which brought over 1.600 pilots from all over Italy to Tortoreto Lido, was a huge success. The competitions between the individual regions were all about motorcycling: whether young or old, from vintage cars to new motorcycles, passion, sharing, driving fun, entertainment, every participant got their money's worth. A 40-strong South Tyrolean selection - most of the pilots were from the Motoclub Ghiselli and the Vespa Club Bozen - also took part in the Abruzzo region. A special highlight were the stands set up by each state committee, where various traditional products were offered. A very innovative idea that was well received by everyone and enabled everyone to go on a culinary “tour of Italy”. Starting from Bolzano with bad weather, the South Tyroleans were shown a very special side to the Abruzzo region by their local colleagues. The focus was on the culture and history of this very interesting region. The South Tyrolean State Committee, led by the Vice President of the Vespa Club Bozen, then set up the South Tyrol stand, which was the culinary highlight for many participants. The event concluded on Sunday in Giulianova with the award ceremony. Most of the athletes were sent from Campania. The South Tyrolean State Committee won the “best culinary stand” category at the “Evening of the Regions”.
