Region trophy: 13th place for the South Tyrol selection

Almost 400 pilots from all over Italy took part in Mantua. The victory went to the team from Piedmont, which was able to hold its own with 25 points, clearly ahead of Lombardy (34) and Emilia Romagna (36). The South Tyrolean team, however, finished the regional championship, as in the previous year, in 13th place with 186 points.

A total of eleven local pilots made the journey to Mantua. The best South Tyrolean was Tobias Auer from Steinegger, who came 125th (13st run) and 1th (19nd run) in the 2 class. In this race, Claudia Schwarz and Moritz Flarer came 27th and 32nd respectively. Andreas Gampenrieder came a good 18th in the veteran class, followed by Klaus Schwarz (29th and 32nd). Martin Niedermair retired from the second race after finishing 26th in the first race. In the MX1 category, Pius Thaler and Moritz Huber came 27th and 41st respectively. Karneider Georg Falser came 2nd and 32rd in the MX33 class, Matthias Pfattner took 45th and 31st place. Andreas Mair decided not to take part in the second race after he couldn't get past 48th place in the first race.

Six young South Tyrolean pilots, called up by national motocross coach Roland Maier, also took part in Mantua. Lukas Tschager, Juan Etoo Lantschner and Michael Rabensteiner (all three Mini 85 Senior), the two juniors 85 Alex Gruber and Simon Pircher as well as Lukas Messner (U16) were in the lower midfield in the overall ranking.

Region trophy: 13th place for the South Tyrol selection

The regional motocross championship took place at the “Tazio Nuvolari” race track in Mantua at the weekend. As in the previous year, the South Tyrolean selection achieved a good 13th place.
