South Tyrol's motocrossers really make their engines roar

The second round of the regional motocross championship was recently held in Storo. Despite the extreme heat, the South Tyrolean pilots were able to shine once again.

Before the summer break, the local motocrossers made people sit up and take notice with seven class victories.


Liam Pichler prevailed in the Junior 85 category, Matteo Pasqualini and Manuel Ploner won the Challenge MX1 and MX2 respectively. Kevin Mair from MC Neumarkt was at the top of the Rider MX2 class, Giovanni Romano from the Branzoller club Ferlu Racing had the upper hand in the Rider MX1 ​​ahead of his teammate Matteo Rossi. Georg Falser was in a class of his own in the Fast MX2 category, while serial winner Norbert Lantschner won the Master Open. Robert Perkmann came third in this race.

Two second places went to Michele Della Vecchia (Expert MX2) and Helmuth Braun (Superveteran Open), while Jakob Gampenrieder (Cadetti 65), Martin Cristofori (Debuttanti 65) and Armin Dalvai (Veteran Open) secured bronze.
