Trial run in Aldein a complete success

The race was organized by the Trial Team South Tyrol. The drivers had to drive through six control zones three times. 31 local athletes took part in Aldein, and in five of six categories a South Tyrolean was at the top of the winner's podium.

Richard Pichler, who is also president of the TT South Tyrol, showed a very strong performance at his home race. Pichler came out on top in the TR3 class with 16 penalty points ahead of Alex De Paul (24) and Alex Zandonà (25). His nine-year-old son Nathan, however, won the mini-trial entry category, ahead of his older sister Laia Pichler.

Alex Herbst, also from TT Südtirol, was in a class of his own in the TR4 category. On his Gasgas, Herbst was able to hold his own with two penalty points ahead of Marc Laimer (4) and Daniele Battisti (6). Manfred Messner won the day in the TR5 category, Philipp Kiem won the Minitrial Mono. Trentini dominates In the TR3 Open class there was no way around Sara Trentini. The star pilot from Trentino, six-time Italian champion and last year even European champion, dominated her category and won with 20 penalty points. The two athletes from TT Südtirol, local hero Jonas Giordani (25) and Günther Berger (30), completed the podium.

The TT South Tyrol was more than satisfied with the very well-attended event: “Today is a celebration day here in Aldein, everything went really well,” says TT South Tyrol President Richard Pichler. South Tyrol’s Motorcycle President Marco Bolzonello also praised the organizers: “The South Tyrol Trial Team has once again done an excellent job. Trial races arouse huge interest in this country, and many young pilots also come along. This is a very positive sign,” explains Bolzonello.

Trial run in Aldein a complete success

The “Trial Promo Südtirol Cup 2022” took place in the motocross park in Aldein on Sunday in wonderful sunshine. The event, in which almost 40 pilots took part, was a complete success.
